LEATHER WORK


Promoting craft and investigating sustainability issues throw my leather research.

My leather work promotes craft with traditional saddle making methods while experimenting with progressive technics. By creating architectural shape and developing expertise craftmanship (hand-crafted in London).

Sourcing


I managed to find a soft leather answering to my ethical values. In 2019, I had visited a family tannery in Marrakech  where I had bought leather for my final collection at CSM. Thanks to the driver that I had during this trip, I got back in contact. Adapting myself to COVID-19 challenges, I have done my sourcing by Facetime . This technic has been efficient with no minimum quantities and a totally sustainable product answering to all my concern. However, due to the online sourcing, the cow leather was thicker than I was expecting. Fortunately, I had also ordered goat skins for my leather trousers and body of the look 1.
